XG85 flush reports failed / swapon cant stat /dev/swap

Hi All,

I have an XG85 which went dark, no network throughput at all, no web GUI. I had telnet access so I ran the flush reports function (I had thought it may have filled the disk and stopped because it couldn't log). I then lost telnet access so I moved to console. The error i'm getting now on reboot is:

Flushing reports
swapon: can't stat '/dev/swap/: No such file or directory
firstboot failed: swapon /dev/swap
ERROR: Flush reports failed

Not a unix guy but i'm assuming this is an issue with mounting a swap directory? I've tried factory reset and I get the same error.

Grateful for any assistance.

Mark

  • So as an update, I managed to get into SFloader and reverted the firmware to the 16.05 build that was there. That got me past the other error and managed to do a factory reset. Now it keeps going into Failsafe mode with reason cant start logging daemon.
