Scan and decrypt breaks youtube app on ios

ok so I have a weird issue and I can't seem to fix. I have scan and decrypt turned on. I installed the certificate on the iphone and even turned on the full trust root certificate but the issue is as follows. I open the YouTube app, it shows the pictures and everything but when I click the video to have it start playing it throws a message stating "something went wrong try again". I looked through the logs everywhere and I cannot seem to get it to work at all. The only thing I can do to fix it is turn off scan and decrypt. I tired all sorts of policy changes, intrusion prevention changes, and application control and it does not work.

I need some help in trying to figure this out because on the UTM this issue was never a problem. something different is going on with the XG firewall.

  • ok so I have been doing some more diagnostics. I found that the Web protection is what is causing the issue. For some reason it shows nothing is blocked but I have to add googlevideo.com to the exceptions list to make it work.
