firmware V17 won't load

I have an XG85W. I have downloaded the firmware to a server that is behind the LAN interface of the XG. I'm attempting to upload the firmware via the GUI into the non-active storage location and I'm choosing the option to load it only, not boot.

Unfortunately, after multiple attempts the upload to the device fails. The logs don't show anything for this type of event.

Am I missing something? is this model not yet supported for the new version?

Hi,

I assume you are using the tab shown in the screenshot below. I would suspect that your disk is full and you might ned to log a support call?

Hi,

It is not the right firmware i think.
SF300 is for XG115 and above, for XG85 you need SF110.

To get the right firmware go to this page and enter the serial number of the XG85.

yep, that was it...wrong version. yet again, I'm confounded by Sophos and the fact that they can't even come up with a somewhat relevant error message or log entry that would at least send me looking in the right direction.

I spoke too soon. I downloaded the V17 update using the serial number but it still won't upload. Might have to open a support case

In wich version is your XG85w ?

Maybe there is an intermediate version ?
