FTTP into Sophos XG (Home) - Possible?

Hello,

I have recently moved into an FTTP property (BT) and I was wondering if it was possible to do the following with the XG;

OTN box -> Cat 6 -> XG Firewall WAN Interface (Authenticate).

The problem i have is that the ISP haven't sent me a hub, I know on the old UTM you could specify connection details, but I can not find these anywhere on the new XG.

I need to be able to put in a user/password to allow the OTN box to connect per say and give me a DHCP address so i can use my internet.

Is this at all possible or do I need to wait for the Home Hub to arrive and then run it in modem/bridged mode?

Thank you

  • Yes it is: Found it after much searching.

    For Info:

    Network -> Interface (edit) -> Select Port for WAN

    General Settings:

    Network Zone: WAN

    IP Assignment: PPPoE

    Gateway Name: (INTERNET_IPV4)

    Username: (homeTelephonenumber@btbroadband.com)

    Password: bt

    Save

    I found if i put IPV6 on - it killed the connection.
