Control XG generated traffic on multi WAN environments

We have an XG with 3 WAN links.  One of the WAN links is a satellite connection and is charged per MB and is only used for specific traffic.

We have noticed that the XG device itself generates traffic such as checking for updates, AV updates, DNS queries etc.  However there is no way (from what I can see) to control which WAN link is used for such data.  I have tried giving the satellite link a higher weighting but it doesn't seem to fix the issue.

The ISP reports for the satellite connection show MB's of DNS traffic which is was generated by the XG.
