Does Sophos UTM break all websocket-based web apps & pages?

I've been running the Asana project/task management & collaboration tools.

They depend on websockets and it appears that the UTM breaks this.

I can't find any discussions less than a year old so I want to verify, this now maturing internet standard is not supported in the UTM?

I would think that the Socks4 or Socks5 proxy functions would be used for this purpose. Have you tested that approach?

Otherwise, you should be able to obtain connectivity by bypassing all proxies and configuring firewall rules instead.

You will need to know what ports are needed.

I did try the Socks proxies to no avail.

To debug, you need to figure out where your packets are being processed, and which packets are being blocked. Check my architecture document in the wiki, then check the logs. You have not said which features you have enabled.

You may also need to assess the NAT and DNS configuration to be sure the name and number translation is working as expected.
