XG firewall traffic tunnel to VPN server

Hi,

the only way for my XG in my network to access internet is through a VPN tunnel to an outside server.

how could I setup XG device to tunnel firewall generated traffic through a vpn connection? is there any way the XG act as a vpn client (using IPSEC, openvpn or anything else)?

Thanks

  • chacha,

firewalls in general cannot act as VPN client (only in a S2S VPN where one side initiate the connection (client) and the other end responds (server)).

    Thank you lferrara,

so if I setup another machine as a vpn gateway, then how can I force the firewall generated traffic (and not all the WAN traffic) route through that machine ?

is it possible to assign which IP (from several assigned IPs of interfaces and aliases), firewall generated traffic sent from? this way I can add specific route just for firewall generated traffic.
