Release Skype

Release skype

I searched the forum and found several people with this same problem, but no solution.

How do I free Skype? Step by step please.

What I've already tried:
1) I created host with many skype IPs; I put the rule and it did not work;
2) I created an Application Filter, releasing skype, I put it in the rule and it did not work;
3) I created a WhiteList with several skype URLs and applied in the rule and it did not work;

INFO: Before creating any rule, I accessed site and downloaded skype. When trying to install, it gave an error stating that it was not possible to connect to the skype server. I created the ApplicationFilter rule and I was able to install and log in to skype.
After the logon, the loading icon is loaded and NEVER loads!

Version: SFOS 16.05.8 MR-8

  • Tiago,

    make sure you disable the micro-app scanning:

    system application_classification microapp-discovery show

    In my case, I am not able to perform calls.

    Regards

  • Where  is this option? And where does it run?

    Continuing my searches yesterday, I found a link on the Symantec site informing the URLs and IPs that would need to be released. Yesterday I added these settings and it did not work. I have the habit of leaving my lab connected at night, and when I got to the office was skype connected?!?! That's weird.

    Link symantec: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH245980.html I believe SOPHOS should have something similar to this Symantec procedure.

    With this configuration could connect in skype and use the chat. Now another challenge, how to free the calls by skype?

    Verified from the North Eastern United States, these IP addresses/subnets are associated with the consumer version of Skype:

    91.190.216.0 / 255.255.255.0
    91.190.218.0 / 255.255.255.0

    PS: Our SOPHOS does not have a procedure to release an application and is one of the most used applications in the world. How can such a thing?!?!
