Confluence

I'm using Atlassian Confluence with Firewall XG and WAF in place.

Currently I'm able to access confluence instance from internet but I cannot edit any pages because I guess it is something to do with Collaborative editing

Does anyone knows how to correctly set this rules so I will be able to edit pages?
I cannot find anything about that problem

Also I want to setup SSL connection to confluence and wondering if anyone has any experience with that?

Dear Raf

From my expirience, I can say that only very few Webapplications run smoothly out of the box after a XG WAF was implemented in front of them.

To get them run smoothly, it's usually required to do a deep engineering and troubleshooting for finding the specialities of each Webapplication.

Have it figured out. Accessible from outside with HTTPS.

1. define WAF for the server hosting Confluence, use Type=plaintext (HTTP) and default port 8090

2. define FW rule. Set path-specific routing:

path = /

use specified WAF

set WebSocket Passthrough = True

Finally adjust Confluence.

1. set base URL tot whatever outside url you are using to acces (https://your.server.domain)

2. adjust Tomcat server.xml to use reverse proxy setting
