What is the difference between backup and export?

If I lose the hardware, can I install XG on a new hardware and restore backup and be up and running like nothing happened? Would I need export also or just backup is enough?

Thanks,

Arun

  • Arun,

backup configuration is the rigth way to protect and restore XG configuration on a new HW. Take note that the new HW must have the same number of NIC or greater.

Export can be used for passive analysis, configuration editing.
