HW for Sophos XG Home on 1Gb down/200Mb up internet.

Hi,

I'm going to make a dedicated box for my Sophos XG installation, and I was wondering what CPU I should go for.

As title says I'm on 1Gb fiber with 200Mb upload, and behind the box I will have some services running such as Nextcloud, Gitlab Omni, a couple of game server for me and my friends, webserver, etc. Plus I'll be using VPN/RDP, PS4's remote play and similar services quite a bit overall.

I gathered that I'll need a 100+gb SSD (that's fine I got a spare), a couple NICs (got them too) and I might go to 16Gb of ram to be safe (test server on a old crappy pc has 6Gb and 75% full with half of the network behind it).

As far as the CPU goes the only "restriction" is that I'll need something with a socket that has mini-itx mobo available. I was thinking about getting either an used 3rd-4th gen i3 or a Celeron G4600/4620. At this point I'm leaning towards the Celeron, but I wanted to make sure I didn't need something "bigger" like a i5 before committing to the choice.

* Would the ECC support of the Celeron be beneficial or is it the same?

* Does Sophos benefit from more cores as far as internet bandwidth goes or is it just about the single threaded performance?

* Does having two-three internet lines and multiple sophos boxes in HA enable me to use more of the total internet available speed if a single box can't manage it alone? (This is a bit unrelated, but I'm curious about it since it's an issue I've come across and I was wondering if Sophos with HA would solve it.)
