Is it safe to upgrade firmware from SFOS 16.05.3 MR-3 to SFOS 16.05.7 MR7 ?

Hello, I have two questions:

Is it safe to upgrade the firmware from SFOS 16.05.3 MR-3 to SFOS 16.05.7 MR7 ? I'm using STAS and I've been told that the MR7 firmware has some issues with those who use STAS.

And I have two XG210 in HA mode (active-passive) I've read here https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/123285#How%20to%20upgrade%20the%20firmware%20automatically about the process of updating the firmware but my doubt is: as I have two appliances in HA mode when I update the primary the auxiliary updates at the same time? Or the auxiliary takes place and goes online first so my downtime is minimal?

  • Hi Rodrigo ,

There will be no downtime the secondary device will initiate an update and when the device is up it would switch the primary and secondary device as a new state. If you are experiencing the issue with your current firmware you may upgrade to the MR 7. Otherwise, it is not necessary to upgrade.
