How to configured inter vlan routing between 2 vlan's

Hi team,

Actually, i have a issue. I want to communicate (ping) between 2 vlan's.

Please guide how to do inter vlan routing between 2 vlan's

I think it's done through Lan to Lan firewall rule. Please confirm if I am right...

  • As far as I know you need a layer 3 switch to do this.

I have never done inter vlan routing any other way, but I have only attempted it in a cisco based invironment, so I could be wrong.

  • A layer 3 switch can do this yes, but this is also what a router does. The XG and UTM are routers. Your XG needs to have an interface and IP on both vlans. Then you make it the gateway for both of those vlans. Then as long as your firewall allows the traffic it will route fine.
