Sophos XG Blocking Non Secure POP And IMAP Mails

If you do not want to scan IMAP and POP3 traffic, create a firewall rule where source is LAN, dest. is WAN and services are POP3, IMAP and SMTP.

I am new in this field,

I am confused, I dont have any SSL/TSL in my mail server . Is it really required to configure secure connection in firewall for an unsecured mail server.

No jack (even if you should).

Uncheck SMTPS, POP3s and IMAPs from the business application rule and it will work.

It worked for me :)

We've got XG200. No mail rules have been applied. And in Firewall rule we have already added Service Group with required services.

Still we are getting a problem in recieving mails, Few of my users are not able to receive mails above 100KB. The moment We disconnect the users from network and connect them with Mobile hotspot / Internet Dongles, the mails are received without problem. had logged call with Sophos technical support, but got no resolution. One more point, If the users access their mail from web-mail portal and download the attachment, the downloads are swift.

 Any help would be much appreciated, user in here receive mails with attachments of 1 MB or above (Generally Excel / PDF documents). Which are not blocked in any web / application policy / Firewall rule.

check email logs to see if the attachments are removed by the XG. Please share the firewall rule you have created.
