Hello. I am a network admin in a small datacenter that host web/mail/game !!! servers.
I am using 3 gigabit connections and the servers are hit daily by dos/ddos attacks.
I would like to mitigate some ddos attacks (not that ones that fill the pipe, but smaller ones).
The ddos attacks are well know: irc bots, stresser websites that uses udp, dns, ntp, ssdp and other attacks.
Is XG able to stop the bad traffic so that only the good traffic reaches the end servers ?!
As i undestand ips and firewalls arent able to handle ddos attacks because they analyze each pachet and not a "bunch of packets" so that can say what packey is legal what what packet is illegal.
