Gateway Logs in Report Section

Tom,

the only way to check gateway logs is to use the advanced shell. Go to /log and read the dgd.log using cat command.

cat dgd.log | grep down

Sorry Luk, But i am totally new to the cli, Can you show me the step before the one you gave. 

Also, will this log file have the data i need for the last 7 days because the log viewer GUI doesn't show the data. 

Tom:

1. connect to XG console
2. Option 5
3. Option 3
4. cd /log
5. cat dgd.log | grep down or cat dgd.log | grep unsuccessful

I ran the command but nothing happens it goes back to the command line. But it doesnt show anything. If dont add the PIPE and GREP command then it shows a ton of data.

try this:

cat dgd.log | grep "Failed"

I did a check and XG logs Failed when the WAN link is down.

Could you check the Event logs from Reports > Compliance > Show Events >System Events  you should see the gateway status change from here.

I've an XG XG230 (SFOS 17.5.0 GA) and in the section mentioned I can't find any log about the Gateway Status but in dgd.log I've many Failed entry. Is it moved on other reports?
