Daily reports have failed again.

Hi,

When 5.7 MR7 was released the daily reports were delayed being sent for a number of hours. The reports did show that they were generated at the correct time. This appears to have happened again. My daily reports generation page shows last reports as being on the 3rd of Sep, today being the 4th of Sep I expect there to be reports.

  • Hi,

I have found the cause, the reports are generated at the correct time, but the wrong time zone. My XG is running in the correct Australian time zone with the correct time, but the report shows it was generated in BST. Now here is the strange thing this started on the 2nd Sep reports, so there is a little bug somewhere in 6.7 mr7 that doesn't understand September.

    Report time

    XG time

  • Ian,

I had the same issue when I installed and imported the XG configuration on MR7. Check the date and timezone on XG advanced shell using date command.

If the timezone is wrong set the same tiimezone you get from the CLI on the GUI, reboot, set your time zone and reboot again.

This is what I did and until now it works.

  • Hi Luk,

the reports were working with the correct dates until the start of September, then BST in the reports and generated at BST.

    Current XG time from console.

  • As of yesterday the report generation program changed its time, somewhere BST has changed to 9 hours behind AUEST. The bios time on the main XG was updated, but does not reflect into the daily reports.

The v17b version does not have this issue, but wait a week until we go on daylight savings in AU then I will see what happens.

This issue happened in the UTM some versions back.
