SSO client for Windows. Should login make user appear in the list of Live Users?

Hello all,

after trying STAS for a while, I'd like to try the SSO client too.

Finally I cannot understand, I read many threads, how do confirm that the client is correctly installed and working fine?

I cannot see any trace of performed logins. The guide states that, after installation, the registry should contain the HKLM/SOftware/Sophos/SSO key, which I cannot find.

No installation logs, etc.

By the way, where do I find a technical description of this software? I'm unable to figure out how it interacts with XG to authenticate. I mean, in detail.

By the way, I'm trying it on a W10 PRO 64bits + latest updates

  • Hi Max,

I will suggest you, stick on with STAS as there are some issues with the SSO client and it is not an easy configuration to get it working. To know more about STAS please refer, How does STAS work?

If you still want to try SSO client then, please let me know and I will try to help.

    Thanks

  • Hello,

I already installed and used STAS. I'm not that much convinced about that solution. I won't try to explain here why, to stay in line with the thread.

That said, my question is still alive. I installed the SSO client on my win 10 pro box, but nothing seems to happen.

What kind of signals should I receive? I mean locally on the PC (a tray icon, notification baloon upon successful logon, etc).

Is the SSO client a process who stays alive for the whole interactive session or it just runs upon logon and logoff? Or is it an installed service?

    Thank you

    Max
