Setup clientVPN from XG to VPN Server

Hi,

I Need to setup a OpenVPN client connection from the XG to the VPN server. Is this possible? And if so, how do I establish this?

    can you explain better your requirement? TBH I do not understand if you need to establish a S2S VPN or allow a Client behind the XG to connect to an external VPN server.

    Hi iferrara,

    This is the case, I think my data is my data en not the governments data. So I want to try the free ProtonVPN service. But the thing is they don't support Site-2-Site. They only offer ClientVPN with their app or with OpenVPN. Now I know Sophos uses OpenVPN them self. So I was wondering if it would be possible to setup this ClientVPN from the Sophos XG.

    I hope this is a better explanation :)

    Jeffrey,

    Firewall in general can act only as VPN concentrator (so VPN server and client/server for a S2S VPN).

    In this case, install the client they provide/require on your computer and nothing else.

    You may need to add a Web exception on XG for the destination URL/IP/FQDN if they are using a custom SSL certificate.
