VLAN FOR SIP TRAFFIC

Hello.

I have installed Sophos XG 210 in my network. My ISP gave me VLAN ID and IP Address for my VOIP. I have a VOIP IPBX in my LAN. Initially it was working well without the VLAN but now my ISP want us to use a VLAN for the voip traffic. I created the vlan port on the wan interface. I now need to create a rule that will direct the sip traffic to go through the vlan interface. Can anyone help please?

oohkayy,

if you configured the VLAN id and IP on the WAN port, you should have another interface and then use that interface as primary gateway inside your firewall rule.

If it is not clear, post your firewall rule.

Thanks for the response, but I havent configured the firewall rule as yet. This interface you suggested will it be in the Lan and how will work?

Its the Default network rule

Accept any service going to "WAN" zone, when in "LAN" zone, and coming from any network

Hi oohkayy,

Have you configured the access port on the switch you are attempting to pass the VLAN traffic on?
