Cheers for the link. I've been following it, but it keeps saying that I have to enter an IP address into the bridge for some reason. Any idea why this is?

It is required just for management purposes.

Just remember to DISABLE Masquerading NAT in the respective firewall rules (Example: LAN -> WAN / LAN -> DMZ etc.)

I'm not sure why. That's not how the majority of in-line IDS that I've worked with in the past work. Yeah, you have a management address; but that's usually on a different port connected to a different network.
