XG Firewall VM on Server 2016 Hyper-v - Route all traffic from host to XG VM

Hi all,

I'm trying to evaluate XG Firewall first to make sure it does what I need before rebuilding my entire home setup.

I have a Windows Server 2016 machine which runs Hyper-V for a couple of guest VM's plus a bunch of native web apps (not running as VMs). What I want to do is run XG as a Hyper-v VM and then force all traffic from the Server 2016 machine (hyper-v host) to the XG VM for traffic monitoring, etc.

My Server 2016 machine only has 1 nic currently. This NIC connects to my consumer grade router (which I hope to replace with XG) which connects to my WAN.
So currently my network is:
Internet --> NTD --> Consumer Router --> Dumb switch --> LAN machines (Including Server 2016 machine)

Basically I want to be able to use the XG VM as my gateway for everything on my LAN including the machine that XG is running on. Is this possible? If so, How would I go about setting up the interfaces, etc.

I know this configuration is not ideal and won't be like this going forward, but I just want to make sure XG will do what I want before I reconfigure my host into an ESXi baremetal.

Thanks,

Will.
