Is it possible to install XG firewall Home on an XG 105 hardware?

At home I currently use a UTM120 with XG firewall Home license. I get around 110mbps speed with dual AV activated.

As my home fiber connection is >250 Mbps, I might consider buying a faster unit and I was thinking about XG 105.

But.... is it possible to install XG firewall with a home license on a XG 105 appliance?

    Unfortunately, the reply on the idea says "what we will do: Allow XG software installer to run on XG hardware appliances, after removing current partitions (same option as UTM9)"

    Doesnt this mean that installation of the software XG on a XG105 with a wiped harddisk should be already possible?

    It is possible.  Wipe the disk and you can run the software installer.  To get it back to a hardware install, just re-run the hardware installer.

    I've been running on home on my XG105 for well over a year.  No issues with updates, etc.  Works great.  I don't use AV though, so I can't comment on what speeds are possible.

    I can turn all the services on and see what I get if you are interested.

    Thanks Axsom1 for letting us know. I did not know this was possible already. I tried with v16 (first release) and I did not work.

    Maybe with some MR they remove the limitation.

    A blank disk wouldn't do it for me, I had to partition the disk with some sort of file system before I could get it to work.

    I will run through it again today if I have some time and post my steps.
