Syslog server for XG

Question

Given the size and budget we are not in a position to purchase iView for our existing XG environment. Can you suggest any free syslog servers that will be able to store and give me details collected from XG. Any opensource that works with XG would do. Thanks

Hi Lara, 
 iView comes free with a threshold of 100 GB. Best practice to save the unwanted use of space is to restrict the XG to report about limited modules and then if you run out of space purge the reports and archive the fresh ones. You can find this setting in System Services | Log Settings. After configuring the syslog server, configure, logs to be sent to the syslog server by selecting checkbox against the log under Syslog .
