#PORT1 #PORT2 .....

Another quick question as I continue my transition from Checkpoint, if I understand correctly #PORT1 ect can not be used in XG rules.  What are #PORT1 ect used for?

Thank you,

John

  • Good question! Ports are objects and they could be used in firewall rules. At the moment they cannot be used but maybe one day they will or maybe they will removed.

    Regards

  • Hello John,

Those ports (interfaces) can be used when you are creating Business Application Rules/DNAT/Port Forwarding in order to publish your internal server (Web or Email) on Public IP address.  You will have to create an object first for the networks if you want to use the network restrictions under Firewall rules.
