I have recently started using the home version of the Sophos XG firewall. I am currently testing the transparent HTTPs feature with the self-signed certificate which comes with the firewall. While it seems to work well with windows devices once the certficated is imported into the Root CA folder, on my android 7.0 devices I am having an issue. Once I import the cert on the android device, it is able to browse on chrome without any issues, but the wifi connection itself just says "no internet" and this breaks certain apps including the google play store itself. After reading online in various places, it seems that Android Nougat has changed the policy in reference to what certificates Apps trust by default and I am wondering if this is causing the issue. Has anyone else tested this and reproduced this issue? If so, does anyone know of a "fix" apart from having to pay a third party CA to sign the certificate (assuming this will even fix the issue)? I am hoping to recommend this firewall for some future installs and am trying to test as many features as possible before making a recommendation.
