How to remove a bridge interface using command line

The Sophos XG Firewall I have is a desktop computer with only 2 interfaces in bridged mode.  Deleting the bridge interface is not allowed because it is the same interface used to manage the firewall.  I really need to preserve the configuration on the device so resetting the firewall to the default factory settings is not ideal.  Is there a way to get rid of the bridge interface in the admin console of the firewall and keep all the firewall rules untouched?

  • Tich,

this is something not supported yet. You can export objects and rules using Import/Export feature inside Backup & Firmware, restore to factory default and import the configuration, by ensuring to import only objects and firewall rules and other stuff not related to the bridge.
