Trying to install XG135 appliance but not going past the Basic Setup

Connected the LAN port to a manually configured PC. Connected the WAN port to a cable modem (swapped the original working firewall). Logged into the XGFW and in Basic Setup, used DHCP to assign an IP address. I do see a notification saying it was successful but nothing happens. I cannot ping 4.2.2.2 from the LAN PC. I cannot go past the basic setup. Any ideas on how to go past this?

  • Hi Ramesh ,

Could you share the settings of the interfaces ,

Command for the same in console> sh net interfaces

    Output:

    Also, conduct a simple test

    1. Ping from Sophos XG

    2. Ping from system in LAN and check the traffic on XG if its forwarded to the WAN port.

Command console> tcpdump 'host <address ping > and icmp
