VPN Azure packet loss every 50 seconds

Hi to everyone,  we have an XG310 updated to last firmware XG310 (SFOS 16.05.5 MR-5).

We are experiencing this problem with Azure IPSec VPN:  even if the vpn is connected ,  we lose 2 or 3 pings (about 5 seconds) exactly every 50 seconds, and so we lose RDP connections to Azure VMs.

Other vpns are running without any problem.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot

Alessandro

  • Hi Alessandro,

You may need to monitor this issue closely.

    Steps involved.

Check the traffic through the IPsec VPN using the command

    Console>tcpdump 'port 3389 and host <remote Location>

This traffic flow should be taken on both ends and you may compare the results on both ends Azure and XG . If there is a packet loss in between then you may need to contact your ISP . But if the traffic is not sent by XG into IPsec tunnel then collect your findings and contact support to analyze them and provide a session to verify the issue you have experienced.
