SSLVPN blocked for Singapore

I have a server in Singapore (SING) that I want to use Open VPN to connect to my home server (Sophos XG Firewall) but every time I try it fails.  Every time I try with my phone here in the US on AT&T Network using open VPN I can connect and access network resources. Please help me find the answer and understand how and why it is failing. Below is an illustration of the setup:

SING-SERVER >> OPEN -VPN >> USA-SOPHOS-XG   = DOES NOT CONNECT

USA_ATT_PHONE >> OPEN-VPN >> USA-SOPHOS-XG = WORKS FINE

Lets asume I set up open correctly on the hosts (SING-SERVER and USA_ATT_PHONE) because I copied the settings file provided by USA-SOPHOS-XG into the config folder of OPEN-VPN and asume something is wrong on USA-SOPHOS-XG

My Background:
I am an A+ Certified tech working in the industry and using the SING-SERVER as my home mail server to get more knowledgeable with exchange. I use a home version of Sophos-XG and there is no profit and no business being run off this server (just to clear things up). I also don't think I can afford support nor would they give it to me for not being a business.

  • Chris,

check that the port 8194 is open. Also make sure there is no any country blocking rule on your XG.

Try a simple telnet to port 8194 on XG to see if the port responds and it is opened correcty from the device where the connection fails.

    Regards
