Cannot connect to WLAN on migrated hardware

Dear experts

I recently received new hardware for my XG Home. Unfortunately, the configuration export was apparently not complete, so some settings had to be adopted manually. LAN Network looks good, although Firewall rules are missing completely, but WLAN does not work.

I found through this troubleshooting guide, but it does not cover my issue:
community.sophos.com/.../124397

The situation is:

  • All WLANs are Bridge to VLAN
  • AP15 uses separate VLAN ID 2 to tunnel traffic to XG
  • I plugged in my AP15 and it showed up in the pending list.
  • I accepted it and new firmware was installed and the configuration was transferred.
  • In the System log I can see that an IP address is assigned via DHCP.
  • My WLAN clients (MacBook) can see the SSID.
  • When I try to connect the OSX WLAN bars in the menu bar alternate endlessly (i.e. trying to connect)
  • As I do not receive an error, I delete the WIFI password from my keychain and try again.
  • I receive a popup for the password but when I enter it, it tries to connect again endlessly
  • For some reason, the SSID is marked as connected but still the WLAN bars in the menu bar alternate.
  • In the IPv4 lease table I see entries but NOT for this WLAN client.

Do you have any idea what could be missing or where/how I can see an error message? Is it eventually not a WLAN issue but rather a DHCP or VLAN/routing issue?

Thank you, Patric
