Upgrade impossible from 16.05.5 MR2 to MR5 ?

Hello,

I downloaded 16.05.5 MR5 yesterday and tried to upgrade. It didn't work : the console screen showed  "error 0x03 Failed to migrate config" and "loading default config".

Has anyone experienced the same issue please ?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    No, you should be able to because it is like fresh install each time.

    Thanks for your input. I tried it again but with the same results. The console screen shows :

    Starting 16_05_5233

    Loading firstboot configuration

    Reading firmware information

    Migrating config from SFOS 16.05.5 MR-2 to SFOS 16.05.5 MR-5

    ERROR(0x03) : Failed to migrate config. Loading default.

    ERROR(0x03) : Failed to migrate reportdb. Disabling On-Box reporting.

    Configuration migrated successfully.

    Obviously, the migration is not successful.  When I boot to version MR-2, everything works fine.

    I executed the update procedure several times and never experienced an issue.

    Oh man.  I've run into this once back in v15 on an HA setup.  Was no fun.

    Essentially, we scheduled some downtime and wiped the appliance.  Installed new firmware and restored configuration from backup.

    I know that doesn't help, sorry.  I  will be interested to see what Sophos says on how to fix this in case I come across it in the future.

    Well, I bit the bullet and reinstalled the machine. I installed MR4 and the upgrade to MR5 went without a glitch. 

    Unfortunately, the backup doesn't restore so I'm afraid I have to start a new threat.
