HTTP forwarding to HTTPs even when disabled

We have a business application rule set up for testing which accepts connections over port 80. However, a network monitor shows that despite traffic between the original request and the firewall travelling over port 80, traffic from the firewall to the destination server is going over port 443.

The business application rule has HTTP redirection and HTTPS turned off, so it shouldn't be doing this.

Is this a known issue, or are we missing something?

We are using SFOS 16.05.2 MR-2.

  • Attached is a screenshot of the application rule. HTTP redirection and HTTPs is off. Domain has been removed from the image.

When connecting over HTTP, if HTTPS is enabled on the destination server, the firewall communicates over 443 with the server and returns everything over port 80. If HTTPS is disabled on the destination server, a blank page is returned.
