Hi Luk,
thanks for the answer!
I still have a doubt:
for example in the case
|
Gateway A |
Gateway B |
Distribution of traffic |
Weight |
1 |
2 |
Traffic will be distributed in 2:1 ratio between Gateway B and Gateway A |
it means that the gateway B will be used for double in comparison to the gateway A?
Can we imagine that for every data packet forwarded trough the gateway A there will be 2 data packet forwarded trough the gateway B?
Luiz I think that you answer is not correct.
Following your thinking configuring the 2 gateway in this way:
gateway A weight 1
gateway B weight 1
the 2 gateway should forward 1% of traffic each.
Instead we know that configuring the 2 gateways with the same weight, like gateway A with weight 1 and gateway B with weight 1, the load balancing will work like a perfect round robin: 50% of the traffic trough gateway A and 50% trough the gateway B.
Don't you fink?

Renzo,
Think 1:1 for weight is the same to setup 50;50.
Is only a different view.
You give the same weight to both of links in the two cases.

Hi Anwar Gani,
You use exactly as you need:
ISP1, weight = 10
ISP2, weight = 40
ISP3, weight = 50
