Sophos XG SSO IPv6 Issues

We currently are utilizing STAS for transparent authentication to our Sophos XG firewalls. The issue we notice, is that all users are authenticated with their IPv4 address in STAS. Has anyone been able to transparently authenticate IPv6 and IPv4 users simultaneously? We need both to authenticate, and see no option to do so with our Sophos devices.

  • Hi STAS does not support ipv6. This also means the option to create an ipv6 user based firewall rule is completely pointless. I have no idea why they do not remove that option as it can never work. I have heard that this will be sorted with v18 and a completely new version of STAS which is likely to be several more months of waiting for us.
