SSL VPN Chrome Book

All Thanks In Advance,

I am trying to get my XG 210 SSL VPN to work with our chrome books. I have a user (CHROME) and certificates created for the SSL vpn, but when I try to deploy the VPN through gsuite it fails to connect. The VPN works great on our Windows and Linux machines. If anyone has any experience or needs more info - let me know.

  • Anyone? This thread has allot of interest, but no one has any experience with this?

  • Im going to call SOPHOS today. Ill report my findings here for you all.

  • Tyler,

I do not know gsuite. In order to receive some helps, you should post errors, screenshots and log.

    Thanks

  • Hi Tyler,

We do not officially support SSL VPN in Chrome book, but you may install open VPN on your chrome book and load the configuration file. Let us know if that did not work .

  • So here is what I found out. Gsuite and chrome books need a combined p12 certificate. I used openssl to combine the user cert and user key. I then need to get the p12 cert into gsuite, but I get some unknown error when trying to upload the certificate. You can get the ca cert, user cert and user key from Sophos users user portal ovpn file. I also tried to use the L2TP vpn because chrome books support L2TP, but I get this ipsec error. I also did a TCP dump and it looks like the chrome book makes it past phase one, but throws the error below on phase 2. I really didn't think this would be so hard to get working. Also for testing, I also tried to connect a Windows 10 machine to L2TP and it doesn't even make it to the XG.

EST-P1: System did not accept any proposal received. Need to reconfigure the connection on either of the ends.
