No permission to access specific port internally

I enabled a rule to access a specific port, XMPP protocol, I allow source access from anywhere to my external IP, but when I am on my internal network I can not connect through an android client app on my local server. I do not understand why even allowing from any location I can not access from my internal network, but over the internet yes. Can someone adjust me ????

  • Hey man can you take a screenshot of the firewall rule for your xmpp?

According to this stack overflow thread xmpp utilizes port 5222, 5223, 5269, 5298, and 8010.

So you should have a firewall rule that looks something like this:

and create a service for xmpp:

Try this out and see if it works.

  • Dude, I'm sorry, I had not remembered that the standard rule I limited the doors, the internal network access is released some special ports ... Lack of attention of mine, but his explanation was fantastic .. I'm grateful for your attention , my friend!!!!

In the default rule for the XMPP protocol I added the additional ports and was added to release access from the local network.

    Thank you very much!!!!!

  • I am glad to be helpful.
