Hello new community, now help a newbie out ;)

Hello all,

allow me to introduce myself, my name is Jed, and I'm a network admin/MSP.

I'm new to this community.  I just became a sophos MSP partner, and so far I'm liking what I see here.  there's quite alot of information for us new guys to digest, so I'm hoping someone here will have some pointers for me.  I've been doing the training, so hopefully most of my questions will be answered there.

that being said, I received a courtesy package from Sophos in the form of the NFR licenses, and with it came a license for the XG firewall OS.  I'd love to get this up and running on a hyper-v Virtual machine, but I'm having troubles finding any documentation for it.

specifically, where how do I redeem my NFR license and get my hands on the firewall OS, (I really wanna start using it)?

and are there any minimal system hardware requirements/guides when using the OS on a VM? (number of available NIC's, hyper-v settings, etc)

any help is appreciated :)

thanks,

  • Jedadiah,

welcome to Sophos Community. To get Firmware, you should contact your Sophos's Sales Representative and get access to Sophos MyPortal where you can download the VM, ISO, etc.

For Virtual Machine, it depends how many users and what kind of them you have to manage.

On Sophos Partner Portal, you can find sizing guide.

    Regards
