Licensing of Sophos Firewall Manager

Hi Sophos Community :) 

It is my understanding that Sophos Firewall Manager is free to use for management of up to 5 XG firewalls. It is also my understanding that I should receive an email with the serial number of the SFM "device" when I download the ISO / HyperV install. I have downloaded both (although I intend to use SFM on a HyperV VM), and have received no such mail. 

I mailed Sophos support, but naturally I was told that Sophos Home licensing support is only available through this community. Does anyone have any idea on how I can go about getting the SN for the HyperV installation of SFM? 

I may have faulty assumptions here, but I also fail to see how I can have access to download the SFM from the Sophos MySophos page if I can't have a serial number to use.
