Cannot create a new Network Zone

Hi,

what zone type are you trying to assign it to? The zone type must exist eg on mine the choices are LAN or DMZ.

I had the exact bug during v16 beta. Maybe is back again!

I can only choose from LAN or DMZ in the "Add Zone" screen so I'm trying with LAN. Whatever I do it won't create a zone - I just want to assign the third LAN port to a separate Wifi access point for guests.

This might seem like a silly question, but does the 3rd NIC show in the interfaces tab?

Yes, the 3rd NIC is in the Interfaces tab.

Would it make any difference if the other two NIC's are in bridge mode? This is how I'm set up.

Did you select any of the Device Access options?

I tried to add the zone on my firewall and when I just fill in the required options, as you did, it does not create the zone but just keeps me on the same page. But when I select any of the device access options (any would do, i put a check on https), i was able to save it and I could see the new zone added on the zone page and i could assign an interface to that zone.

Worked a treat, I don't know if this is a bug or a feature???

seems more like a bug to me, since it lets you uncheck all the device access option once the zone has been created without any issues.
