No Internet after starting IPS Service

Hello Supporters,

I'm facing a problem while trying to work with IPS, each time i start IPS service i lose internet connection after 1 hour (estimated).

Even if i didn't associate any ips profile to any role. I tried to associate WAN to Lan on DNat Role or WAF role and the same problem the only thing i can do to get back internet to my network is to stop IPS service.

I checked the log settings about IPS and i check all checkboxes and no log found.

 

I need to get it work because my firewall log show me that there some peoples use brute force and DDOS and i can't stop those attacks.

  • I am sorry your question is not making sense. You have exactly the same functionality as a supported/paid licence except you can only use 4 CPUs and 6gb of ram. And of course no sandstorm.

    Please check your IPS settings in your rules, general outgoing rule should have a LAN to WAN IPS and incoming should have WAN to LAN IPS. Then there are the general IPS rules under

    IPS - DoS or DoS and Spoof Protection. You might need to change some of the values in these fields.

    What does the CPU and memory report when your IPS blocks the internet?

  • i'm using LAN TO WAN in all my LAN-WAN rules, but i don't have any WAN-LAN rules.

    My CPU and Memory still stable while no internet connection and no ips log.
