Can captive portal permit a single log-on on to services outside of firewall?

Could you elaborate more on the query you wish to know ? Single logon to which service and is the service a Web server / application etc

Thanks. For a start, can I use captive portal to authenticate zimbra mail service through Sophos XG Firewall?

Olalekan,

Captive portal can be used on WAN zone. You can enable "match know users" on the firewall rule and XG will prompt the captive portal if the user that request the packets is not authenticated in any way. It should!
