Different VLANs on one Accespoint

Hey,

I've got a "simple" question about VLans and an Sophos AP 15 Accesspoint.

I found the option to set up this AP to a VLAN, but is it possible to create different SSID within differnt VLAN ?

For exampe:

Accespoint 1

---> VLAN 10 SSID:guest  // 192.168.30.0/24

---> VLAN 20 SSID: Local // bridged to LAN

---> VLAN 30 SSID: Test // 192.168.0.0/24

Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot

  • Mario,

    of course you can. You can create up to 8 SSID on the same access point and all of them can be different. Only one can be used for bridge to LAN. Make sure to trunk the needed VLAN ID on the switch port where the AP is connected.

    Regards
