Sophos XG on "Sophos XG85w" hardware

As far as the hardware compatibility matters, it is possible but, the only constraint I doubt is when you will receive a serial ID for the virtual device after downloading the ISO. This serial ID will be used for licensing the firewall modules. Alongside, the hardware model will consist of a private Appliance Serial ID. Again, I am not sure but, you can implement it and let us know.

Before buying the device spending 400$ I would like to be sure that is possible to use the home license and activate also the embedded WiFi for home use...

Instead of spending 400$ for a hardware device why don't you install the free XG home edition on an assembled hardware?

I've installed the Intel version on an assembled hardware. Everything works great except for the embedded wifi card.

How can I make it work? Should I buy an AP10? AP10 will work with the home license?

Hi Vasco,

Sophos XG wireless module will explicitly work with Sophos AP which is hard coded. You may still need to buy a separate AP instead of making use of the embedded wifi card. I would recommend AP15 which are new in comparison to AP10.
