DHCP - static adress does not work any more

Dear all,

yesterday i added two new network devices, a raspberry pi and a fritz-cable-thing from avm.
I added the MAC in my default DHCP-Server, like i did it 38 times bevor.

But now, it will not work. Both deviced get an IP from the dynamic-range.

I run on home edition SFOS 16.05.3 MR-3.

In the last week, i added a second DHCP for my Guest WLAN.
In this DHCP i configured an WLAN-AP, that runs bevor in the default-DHCP. So i delete the MAC in die default-DHCP and add the MAC new in the Guest DHCP.
Here it is the same, the device get only an dynamic-IP.

To use the second DHCP i run "system dhcp static-entry-scope global" in the console.

My devices:

Two of the dynamic-adresses:

What did i configured wrong?

Why didn't get the devices a static IP?

  • HI Rene ,

Could you let us know where have you added the Static DHCP entry and if you added on VLAN , it may not work as the address would be broadcast to the DHCP server which is XG in this case and will arrive to interface address. Make sure the Static entry would not have any DHCP interface mentioned . This should resolve your issue.

  • Hi Aditya

    the default-DHCP:

    The VLAN-DHCP:

Every MAC-Association to a DHCP (default or VLAN) is unique.
    No device is registred twice.

I made a test and delete the VLAN-DHCP and the interface/zone, restart the XG and wait. The new device is getting a dynamic IP and not a static IP.

Now i made a new test, and everything function correct - i am confused...

I will take a view, what happens in the future.

    So close case momentary.

  • The problem is back...

    The assignement in default-DHCP:

    The given dynmic adress:

Today i add one new device, first assign the MAC in the default-DHCP. Connect the device, everything is right -> a static adress.

Now connect a new device from weekend, and the assignment is wrong. Look at the pictures above.
