It is possible to create a network domain?

Hi, i want to know if its possible to create a "domain" or alias to forward to an IP address.

 

example

 

type in browser (chrome) http://mikesite and this take me to http://192.168.0.1:81

 

extra:

 

if can be with url masking its better.

    this is more a DNS trick. If you are using an internal DNS, you can create a record A on DNS server and point that record to the IP you want. If you use XG, you can create DNS entry under Network > DNS tab.

    Pay attention with pharming protection under Web > Protection because XG to protect again such type of attack, perform a DNS query too. if the url does not match, traffic is blocked.

  • If the traffis is on the same network, traffic will not hit the Firewall.

    Only if the traffic is to another LAN/VLAN, and XG is acting as routing between those networks, you can use DNAT.
