This is the second time I have rebooted my Exchange 2010 Server and had to wait a very long time for the User Profile Service to start.
The last time it did this was when I tested the xg firewall. 2 weeks ago I went ahead and shut the mail server down, installed the XG but I had other issues and had to take the XG back off the network and put the old firewall back in place. I booted the email server and it took over 1 hour to finally come up.
My plan is to install the XG tommorrow night but its crazy, the old firewall froze up this morning and now a normally quick exchange server reboot is taking a long time.
I currently have a XG deployed in transparent mode between the old firewall and a inhouse router with a mpls connection. I have the email mta relay working.
Any ideas?
