Delivery Failure Notification not being sent on XG MTA

Hi There

Every now and then we are told there are mails being sent to our organisation that are not being responded to. The logging is terrible so it has been a difficult task to even locate an issue never mind resolve it.

However, I have come across at least one instance of why mails are not being received. Large mails are "Bounced"(thanks log that is helpful) and a Delivery Failure Notification is created, but the Large mail is attached(WHY?) to the Delivery Failure Notification which cannot be sent(surprise).

Is there a way to remove the failed email from the Delivery Failure Notification?
