Static Routing vs Policy Routing

Hello,

I've to add a route to join a network behind a router connected to PortD of a Sophos XG.

If I add a static route, i'm able to join the remote network, but if i'm doing the same configuration with policy routing, I'm not able to join the remote network anymore. (without static route)

Here is my setup:

What i am missing ?

Thank you !

  • I have a similar doubt :

    I have

    - a firewall rule that permit any IP of the LAN with any services to reach the destination "GRP-FQDN-ERP" in the internet trough the gateway GW_Port2_BITWAWE

    - a policy routing rule that routes all the traffic from the LAN with the same destination "GRP-FQDN-ERP" trough the gateway GW_Port2_WHG

Where will the packets with destination "GRP-FQDN-ERP" pass trough? The packets will pass from the gateway GW_Port2_BITWAWE or from the Gateway GW_Port2_WHG?

The following images show the configuration
