Sophos XG not allowing remote support software to connect

I have a fresh install of Sophos XG Home running.  Since the install I am not able to connect to any of my remote machines I support using Splashtop Business.  http://www.splashtop.com/

Splashtop is a lot like Logmein.  My remote machines have a small program on them that keeps the computer attached to splashtops cloud services (I presume).  My computer has the splashtop remote connection app on it.  I click connect next to the machine I want to remotely connect to.  While I am able to see that the machines are online or offline, I am no longer able to actually remotely connect.  After the program tries for about 10 seconds to connect to the machine, I get a simple error that says "Cannot Connect".  Please help?  What logs / files / configs can i share that might shed some light on this?

If it helps, I did already try doing port forwarding to my local machine.  that did not make any difference.

  • Incase it helps, here is a log entry of splashtop trying to connect to the remote computer.  the web filter accepts the traffic, but the connection fails...

  • Hi Justin,

Could you post the snap of your Firewall rules for the same . I would like to replicate this issue if possible.

  • NO problem!  Additional info as well, if I connect to a computer on my own LAN using splashtop, it connects just fine.  If i connect to a computer on my network FROM a remote location, it works just fine.  the ONLY piece not working is connecting to a remote computer, from my computer on my lan, to a remote computer outside of my network.  In other words, If I am at work and I connect to a computer on my LAN at home, it works just fine.  But if I am at home on my LAN, and I try to connect to my computer at work, no go.  This is not a problem with the computer at work by the way.  If I use my cell phone as a hotspot instead of being on my lan, I can connect to the work computer just fine.
